ADHD & CLUTTER
YOU DON'T HAVE To FACE IT ALONE

If you have ADHD or suspect you do, the chances are that you have had a life-long battle with clutter.
Having ADHD means you have a harder job keeping the clutter under control, but also a harder job clearing it.

You don't have to face it alone. Getting help from a professional who understands the issues can make all the difference.

No Judgment, Just help
Objective

Sometimes it helps to see your home through a fresh and objective pair of eyes. We can talk through a plan that you're comfortable with, and make the whole process manageable and less overwhelming.
Keeping
FOCUS
We can help you decide what to keep and what to let go of. Having another person to guide you can help you keep focussed on the job and avoid distractions.
SustainingSPACE
Together we can design simple systems that are easy to keep up long term. Our aim is to ensure that once you've made space in your life, you can sustain it.
Motivation
TO KEEP
GOING
Having someone with you to motivate you when you're flagging can help you stay on task until the job's completed. We want to make sure that you feel a deep sense of satisfaction every time a space is transformed!
Why ADHD matters to us
We know how living in a world designed for non-ADHD minds can feel like a struggle. We work with ADHD clients to find simple systems to help make their lives easier. Sustainable Space is owned and run by Sinead, who has been on her own ADHD journey.

I was first diagnosed at the age of ten...
......with combined ADHD. As I grew up, my ADHD was always present, but I had managed to craft a life where I was able to use it to my advantage. I started working in the fast-paced world of television, changing shows every few months with a new production team of people to get to know. It was fast turn around work that felt urgent. I was constantly stimulated, rarely got bored and barely ever stayed still. A perfect existence for an ADHD adult! That all changed when I had my first child.

I had to hit the brakes hard, no more constant change. My world had shrunk, and suddenly every day was based upon routine, with little stimulation. I struggled with the total shift in lifestyle that a baby brings. My GP suggested that I should aim for an adult ADHD assessment, and a year later I received an updated diagnosis. This allowed me to arm myself with methods and systems to deal with my adult ADHD.

ADHD comes with various behavioural traits, and messiness and a lack or organisation are VERY common. Personally however, order and neatness in my surroundings have always been a huge help for me mentally. My brain was so cluttered that I couldn't handle having my surroundings be messy too.
Having a firsthand understanding of how much ADHD can affect your everyday life, I want to use my need for order to help others, and share the methods that have helped me on my own journey.
